We designed a portable modular tube track for year-round use and manufactured the modules of the track by order of OÜ Winter Park Estonia. The aim of the project was to mitigate the business risks arising from the weather conditions of Winter Park Estonia and extend the period of provision of services (incl. reduce the maintenance costs of the tube track) and thereby increase the company's turnover.
The tube track is designed for year-round use, which is made possible by the sliding material "365 Artificial snow" covering the track. The covering material is intended for cross-country skiing, snowboarding, alpine skiing and tube tracks.
Curve modules of three different sizes were designed for the tube pier. Cornering modules consist of four main parts: an arched frame made of square tubes, two mounting plates, a cover mesh and two support legs. The cornering module is covered with a mesh to which the artificial coating is attached. Screw piles are used to fix the support legs in the soil.
